| An association for native-speaker English language trainers in France |
Job Offers
The Language Network regularly prospects a wide range of training organisations to encourage them to send us their job offers. We currently have over 200 organisations using our recruitment service. These job offers are sent out to our members by email and recruiters usually manage to fill positions within days and sometimes within hours! Our members also appreciate receiving regular offers of work which they can follow up if they need extra hours. Even if they aren’t looking for work, it allows them to see what kinds of rates are being practised and what kind of jobs are on offer.
Events
Each year, The Language Network organises:
· AN INDEPENDENTS' FORUM :
This is a meeting which takes place in Paris on a Saturday towards the end of September and which is aimed specifically at its members who are self-employed or working independently through ‘portage salarial’. The members themselves decide on the themes to be discussed and sometimes guest speakers are invited to give talks. At the end of the meeting, the participants can attend an ‘apéritif’ and lunch organised nearby.
· AN EVENING COCKTAIL PARTY
The cocktail party is normally organised in December at a different venue in Paris each year. The cocktail party is a perfect opportunity to network with other members and to rub shoulders with potential recruiters.
· THEMATIC WORKSHOPS
Following requests by members, we have organised a number of workshops on themes ranging from finding work in French universities to what to do if you are not able to find enough work.
· TRAINING SEMINARS
Teachers working through The Language Network Services ‘portage’ structure also have the opportunity of attending training seminars.
The Language Network also keeps its members informed about other events taking place which may be of interest to them.
